The holidays are just around the corner which means more time with your family! In preparation of having the children home it would be best to think of some activities to do, homemade pizza is an example of this.  Making the pizza dough can really bring your family together.  The dough must be kneaded and worked with until elastic and ready for use.  Circle the family around a clean surface and let them all work together to knead the bread.  You might even consider doubling or tripling the recipe so everyone can make their own dough, especially if feeding many people.  Once the pizza dough is ready, creativity sets in. This is the time for you and your family to determine what you would like on the pizza. From plain low-fat cheese pizza and margarita pizza with fresh basil and mozzarella, to chicken fajita with bell peppers, and the always great vegetable pizza, the possibilities are endless!  The more time you are willing to spend the more creative you can get.  Try making a homemade tomato sauce with fresh or canned tomatoes, or find fruit that would complement your pizza and use it as a topping.  A lot of fun can come out of making pizza with your family; all it takes is teamwork and creativity!
