One of the services that we offer at Family Food is individualized nutrition counseling Philadelphia sessions during which an RD will come to your home and address any nutrition concerns you may have regarding your child or family. Got a little one that won’t touch anything green? Tired of the mealtime meltdowns? We’ve got you covered! If you have a group of friends or parents that are also looking for some guidance regarding family nutrition, consider signing up for our group nutrition classes. They can be held at the location of your choice so that an RD can offer pointers on how to combat picky eating, make mealtimes more harmonious, or fuel your kiddo for a sport or activity. Another plus? The cost can be divided among all of the parents so that everyone gets the same helpful advice but pays less!
To address your own personal concerns, Family Food also conducts adult nutrition counseling so that we can work with you one-on-one to address any nutrition-related questions you may have or assist you in managing your weight, cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes, or establishing a healthy eating plan during pregnancy or for overall health and vitality.
Individualized nutrition sessions or adult nutrition counseling visits are FREE if you have Independence Blue Cross Personal Choice or PPO health insurance, Amerihealth, or Keystone Health Plan East! You are entitiled to 6 FREE visits per calendar year, so don’t forget to redeem your remaining FREE visits by December 31st! Family food also partners with companies to provide nutrition education at the job site. One of our dietitians can visit your office on a weekly basis to provide individualized nutrition counseling sessions to employees. All services are covered by the employee’s health insurance, so there is no cost to the company of the employee! Family Food is currently accepting partnerships with companies who offer Independence Blue Cross and Keystone Health Plan East health insurance plans to their employees.
